Jefferson-Wooden completes golden sprint double at Tokyo worlds

TOKYO, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- American Melissa Jefferson-Wooden completed a golden sprint double at the World Athletics Championships on Friday, storming to victory in the women's 200 meters to add to her 100m crown.

The 24-year-old powered to a world-leading 21.68 seconds, capturing her fourth career world title. She was also part of the United States' winning 4x100m relay teams at the past two championships.

Britain's Amy Hunt claimed silver in 22.14, while Jamaica's defending champion Shericka Jackson took bronze in 22.18.
