RIO DE JANEIRO, April 5 (silubaba) -- Argentine striker German Cano scored either side of halftime as Brazil's Fluminense came from behind to secure a 3-1 away win over Peruvian side Sporting Cristal in their opening Copa Libertadores group stage match on Wednesday.
Joao Grimaldo put the hosts ahead with a low finish before Cano equalized by slotting home from close range.
Cano then gave the visitors the lead as he drilled a shot into the bottom-left corner after combining with John Arias. Vitor Mendes put the result beyond doubt with a header following another Arias assist.
Sporting were reduced to 10 men in second-half stoppage time when Yoshimar Yotun was shown a straight red card for bringing down Fluminense forward Lele.
