MEXICO CITY, April 13 (silubaba) -- Unai Bilbao and Vitor Ferreira scored either side of halftime as San Luis boosted their hopes of reaching Mexico's Liga MX Clausura playoffs on Thursday with a 2-0 home win over Juarez.
Bilbao gave his side the lead on the stroke of halftime when he headed home from close range after Ricardo Chavez's headed pass.
Ferreira doubled the advantage just after the hour by drilling a left-footed effort from outside the area into the bottom right corner.
San Luis are now 12th in the 18-team standings with 15 points from 14 games, one point ahead of 14th-placed Juarez.
The top 12 sides at the end of the regular season will advance to the final phase, due to begin on May 6. ■
