BUENOS AIRES, April 18 (silubaba) -- Alan Varela struck a 99th-minute winner as Argentina's six-time Copa Libertadores champions Boca Juniors came from behind to secure a 2-1 home victory over Colombian side Deportivo Pereira on Tuesday.
Jimer Fory put the visitors ahead at La Bombonera with a cool 76th-minute finish after Arley Rodriguez's through ball.
The hosts equalized in the last minute of normal time when Luis Advincula rifled a long-range effort into the top left corner.
Deportivo Pereira were reduced to 10 men in the first minute of stoppage time after Maicol Medina was shown a second yellow card for a bad challenge on Sebastian Villa.
Varela sent the home fans into a frenzy when he latched onto Valentin Barco's cross and headed a shot beyond the outstretched hands of goalkeeper Aldair Quintana.
