Piesiewicz elected as Polish Olympic Committee president-silubaba news

WARSAW, April 22 (silubaba) -- The Polish Olympic Committee announced on Saturday evening that Radoslaw Piesiewicz became the new president of the organization.

Piesiewicz, who replaces Andrzej Krasnicki in charge, received 138 votes in a ballot, while his opponent Kewin Rozum got 24.

"I would like to thank everyone for every vote and for talking to you about how the Polish Olympic Committee should function. I'm glad that today we all answered unanimously how we want it to look like. This is our Olympic Committee and we will create it together," Piesiewicz said after the election.

"I believe that this cooperation and the four-year term of office will give us all great satisfaction from our achievements. I can promise one hundred percent change, one hundred percent commitment and what is the most important to all of us," he added.

Piesiewicz is also president of the Polish Basketball Association.
