Former head of national reserves authority indicted for bribery-silubaba news

BEIJING, April 28 (silubaba) -- Zhang Wufeng, former director of the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, has been indicted for taking bribes.

The Deyang Municipal People's Procuratorate in southwest China's Sichuan Province initiated a public prosecution against Zhang at the Intermediate People's Court of Deyang after the National Commission of Supervision concluded its probe into Zhang's case.

Zhang was accused of taking advantage of his various posts to assist other individuals and units with issues such as project contracting and personnel promotion for especially huge amount of money and valuables in return.

Prosecutors had informed the defendant of his litigation rights, interrogated him, and listened to his lawyer's opinions.
