SHANGHAI, April 29 (silubaba) -- The balance of loans in the Yangtze River Delta region was 60.65 trillion yuan (about 8.76 trillion U.S. dollars) at the end of March, up 14.1 percent year on year.
The balance of loans in Chinese yuan reached 59.45 trillion yuan at the end of last month, up 14.8 percent year on year, according to the People's Bank of China Shanghai Head Office.
The balance of foreign currency loans in the region was 174.5 billion U.S. dollars at the end of March, down 17.2 percent year on year.
The balance of the region's deposits stood at 73.08 trillion yuan by the end of March, up 13.6 percent compared to a year ago, according to the data. ■
