BUENOS AIRES, May 1 (silubaba) -- Gaston Togni struck either side of halftime as Defensa y Justicia eased to a 2-0 home win over Colon in Argentina's Primera Division on Sunday.
The hosts took the lead in the 23rd minute when Togni curled a 30-yard free-kick into the top right corner.
The 25-year-old doubled the advantage with a first-time finish on the counterattack 20 minutes from time.
Defensa y Justicia are now third in the 28-team Primera Division standings with 27 points from 14 games while Colon are 23rd, 13 points further back.
In Sunday's other fixtures, Independiente won 2-0 at home to Belgano and Talleres Cordoba secured a 3-1 home win over Rosario Central. ■
