LA PAZ, May 11 (silubaba) -- Bolivia will meet Ecuador and Chile in friendlies next month as the teams prepare for South America's 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
La Verde will face Ecuador in New Jersey on June 17 and Chile in Santa Cruz three days later, the Bolivian Football Federation said in a statement on Thursday.
The matches will provide one of the last chances for Bolivia manager Gustavo Costas to test his squad before the qualifying tournament for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Bolivia will begin their qualifying campaign in September with an away clash against Brazil and a home duel against Argentina.
Costas is hoping to guide Bolivia to the World Cup finals for only the third time in their history and the first since 1994. ■
