A train departs Xiaoshan West Railway Station in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, last week. Built in the 1930s, the station has had most renovation work on its underground electric cable network, such as power and telecom cables, completed by China Railway 24th Bureau Group Corp Ltd, a unit of China Railway Construction Corp. The station will be a key transportation hub not only supporting the upcoming 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou in September, but also helping the provincial capital play a stronger role in integrated regional development.
