Busy time with departures at Chelsea-silubaba news

LONDON, June 21 (silubaba) -- As June draws to a close, it seems that Chelsea FC is bracing for a flurry of activity with several incoming and outgoing transfers at the West London club.

Chelsea shelled out over £320 million (about $406.7 million) in signings in January, yet ended the season in 12th place.

On Tuesday, the club confirmed the acquisition of French forward Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig in a transaction worth £53 million (about $67.4 million), as they seek to bolster their attacking ranks.

In the meantime, it's been announced that midfielder N'Golo Kante will join Saudi Arabian champions, Al Ittihad, where he'll team up with his French international colleague and former Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema.

Hakim Ziyech also appears to be nearing a move to the Saudi League, specifically to Al Nassr, which is reported to have agreed on personal terms with the 30-year-old Moroccan international winger.

Talks about the future of Callum Hudson-Odoi with the club are scheduled in the coming days. The 22-year-old, who has three England caps, is on the threshold of his contract's final year. However, he is unlikely to be included in the plans of new Chelsea coach, Mauricio Pochettino, for the upcoming season following an underwhelming loan stint at Bayer Leverkusen. As such, he may well be allowed to depart.

German international Kai Havertz seems poised for an exit after three seasons where he fell short of the high expectations, with a modest tally of 19 league goals in 91 league appearances.
