New Huracan boss Martinez seeking positive vibes-silubaba news

BUENOS AIRES, July 3 (silubaba) -- Diego Martinez has vowed to instill a positive mindset at Huracan after being named head coach of the struggling Argentine club.

Martinez was officially presented to local media on Monday after replacing Sebastian Battaglia, who was sacked last week amid a poor run of results.

"We want to play a certain way and we want our players to always put their best foot forward without ever having a passive attitude," Martinez told a news conference.

"We will adapt with the tools that we have at our disposal with an aim to build a team with its own identity and one that we can feel proud of."

Huracan are currently 27th in the 28-team Argentine Primera Division standings, with just four wins from 22 games so far this season.

Martinez had been out of work for less than a month after parting ways with Tigre. The 44-year-old has also had spells in charge of Godoy Cruz and Estudiantes BA in a managerial career that has spanned eight years.

His first match in charge of Huracan will be a home league clash against Atletico Tucuman on Thursday.
