Talleres keep pressure on leaders River Plate-silubaba news

BUENOS AIRES, July 14 (silubaba) -- Talleres Cordoba kept alive their faint hopes of clinching Argentina's Primera Division title with a 1-0 away win over Huracan on Friday.

David Romero gave the visitors the lead with a composed left-footed shot after combining with Rodrigo Garro.

The goal was enough to secure Talleres' 14th win from 25 league outings this season and they are now six points behind leaders River Plate with two games remaining.

Elsewhere, Diario Caceres scored a late equalizer as Defensa y Justicia drew 2-2 at Godoy Cruz.

Leonardo Jara earned Velez Sarsfield a point when he struck in the 102nd minute, cancelling out Manuel Monaco's converted penalty attempt.
