MEXICO CITY, July 17 (silubaba) -- Ecuador international striker Jordy Caicedo has joined Atlas on loan from Mexican rivals Tigres UANL.
The 25-year-old, who has three years remaining on his Tigres contract, will be tied to Atlas until June next year.
"Despite his young age, Caicedo has great experience around the world," Atlas said in a statement confirming the deal on the club's website on Monday.
Caicedo has spent the past six months on loan at Türkiye's Sivasspor.
Capped 10 times for Ecuador's national team, the center forward has previously had spells at clubs in Ecuador, Brazil and Bulgaria.
Atlas are currently seventh in the 18-team Liga MX Apertura standings with four points from the first three matches of the season. ■
