MADRID, July 21 (silubaba) -- Spanish La Liga club Celta Vigo have announced the signing of Carlos Dotor from Real Madrid.
The 22-year-old central midfielder, who captained Real Madrid's B-team Castilla last season, netted 11 goals as his side just failed to win promotion to the Spanish second division.
Celta have paid just over three million euros for Dotor, although Real Madrid maintain 50 percent of the player's rights, and he has agreed a deal until June 2028.
Dotor could make his debut when Celta face Benfica in the Algarve trophy in the Portuguese city of Faro on Friday night.
The club from Spain's northwest have been active in the transfer market after confirming former Liverpool and Valencia coach Rafael Benitez as their coach earlier this summer.
Celta have also signed winger Jonathan Bamba from Lille, left-back Manu Sanchez from Atletico Madrid and made Carlos Perez's loan from Roma permanent. ■
