Zhejiang edge Shanghai in Chinese Super League thriller-silubaba news

SHANGHAI, Aug. 12 (silubaba) -- A last-minute goal from Zimbabwean striker Nyasha Mushekwi saw Zhejiang FC edge Shanghai Port 4-3 in the Chinese Super League on Saturday.

Shanghai opened the scoring in the fourth minute thanks to Lucas Joao's volley from Wu Lei's long pass, though Zhejiang got back on level terms before the end of the first half as Mushekwi outjumped Zhang Linpeng to score a header.

In first-half stoppage time, Zhejiang defender Liu Haofan was adjudged to have fouled Wu, gifting Shanghai a penalty which Oscar duly converted.

In the 55th minute, Wang Shenchao's attempt from the right flank was parried by Zhejiang goalkeeper Lai Jinfeng, but Joao was there to tap in the follow-up to make it 3-1 to Shanghai.

Two minutes later, substitute Franko Andrijasevic pulled one back for Zhejiang with a powerful volley from a narrow angle, and the Croatian made it 3-3 in the 64th minute, heading home from Qian Jiegei's corner.

The decisive moment came just a few seconds before the final whistle. Zhejiang midfielder Leonardo was tripped in the box, and the referee pointed to the spot. Jean Evrard Kouassi's spot-kick was saved, but Mushekwi's follow-up sealed the victory for Zhejiang.

Also on Saturday, Meizhou Hakka beat Qingdao Hainiu 1-0, while Changchun Yatai eased past Chengdu Rongcheng 1-0.
