China Railway 24th Bureau Group Corp said its construction workers completed the installation of the first cast-in-place beam of a 6.8-kilometer tunnel project on Jianning West Road in the provincial capital, laying a solid foundation for follow-up construction. Upon completion, the tunnel will serve as another river-crossing link in Nanjing and help the city address congestion issues by facilitating vehicle trips between Gulou district and Nanjing Jiangbei New Area, a development demonstration zone of the nation, said CR24, a unit of centrally administered State builder China Railway Construction Corp.
