BEIJING, Aug. 25 (silubaba) -- A total of 149 deputies to China's National People's Congress and members of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee were appointed special supervisors by the Supreme People's Court (SPC) on Friday.
The appointees have been drawn from the fields of law, education, medicine and health care, scientific research and economics, among others.
In 2010, the SPC started to employ 60 such special supervisors, and this year's batch marks the fourth term.
Previous special supervisors have earnestly performed their supervision duties based on their respective fields of work and professional expertise. They have contributed their wisdom to trial and enforcement of the people's courts, judicial reform and talent training, among other areas. ■
