Argentina name four newcomers for World Cup qualifiers-silubaba news

BUENOS AIRES, Aug. 31 (silubaba) -- Fiorentina forward Lucas Beltran is among four uncapped players named in Argentina's squad for FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Bolivia.

Manager Lionel Scaloni also included FC Dallas winger Alan Velasco and Athletico Paranaense pair, Bruno Zapelli and Lucas Esquivel, in a list of 32 players.

But there was no place for Sevilla defender Marcos Acuna, who has a right hamstring injury.

As expected, the squad will be led by Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi, who guided the Albiceleste to their third World Cup title in Qatar last December.

Veterans Angel Di Maria, Nicolas Otamendi and Franco Armani were also named.

Argentina will play Ecuador in Buenos Aires on September 7 and Bolivia in La Paz five days later.
