Zhang Yufei wins women's 100m butterfly at Hangzhou Asiad (updated)-silubaba news

HANGZHOU, Sept. 27 (silubaba) -- Chinese Olympic champion Zhang Yufei won the women's 100m butterfly gold at the Hangzhou Asian Games here on Wednesday.

The Asian mark keeper set a Games' record of 55.86 to clinch the title. Japan's Ai Soma won the silver in 57.57. Another Chinese swimmer Wang Yichun came third in 57.83.

After the competition, the 25-year-old star swimmer said that she was not satisfied with her performance, vowing to break the world record.

"I will never change my goal. Without the ambition of breaking the world record, I will not have the motivation for the Paris Olympics and other major events in future," said Zhang.

As of Wednesday, Zhang has already bagged four golds at the Games.
