BEIJING, Sept. 28 (silubaba) -- China's Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) has ordered the arrest of Zheng Hong, former vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chongqing Municipal People's Congress, for suspected bribe-taking, the SPP said Thursday.
Zheng was also former chairman of the Chongqing Municipal Federation of Trade Unions.
Zheng's case was transferred to procuratorial authorities for examination and prosecution following the conclusion of an investigation by the National Commission of Supervision.
The handling of the case is underway, said the SPP. ■
