U.S. skier Ryan Cochran-Siegle said he was "blown away by the venue" at the National Alpine Skiing Centre for the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022.
"First day skiing here in Yanqing and I'm blown away by the venue we get to compete at," Cochran-Siegle was quoted as saying by US Ski & Snowboard Team's Twitter account.
The U.S. team finished its first training on Sunday, and the 29-year-old took the day to explore the whole mountain and "got a good first look at everything".
He added that the "spectacular snow and tantalizing terrain should make for some amazing race conditions".
The U.S. team arrived on Saturday at the Yanqing Village, located in Beijing's northwestern suburbs.
The U.S. has quota spots for six men and 11 women in Alpine skiing at Beijing 2022. The team has won 47 Alpine skiing medals in total in the Winter Olympics, ranking fourth after Austria, Switzerland and France.
