MADRID, Oct. 24 (silubaba) -- Cycling ace Tadej Pogacar has lost a key member of his training staff after LaLiga outfit, Athletic Club Bilbao announced on Tuesday that they have signed the physiologist, Inigo San Martin as the club's new Performance Director.
San Martin, who was born in the Basque region of northern Spain, joins the LaLiga club from Pogacar's UAE Team Emirates cycling team. Pogacar has won the Tour de France twice in his career and has finished top in the UCI world ranking for the past three years.
San Martin will lead the High-Performance Department at Athletic's Lezama training ground, with the aim of "maximizing the conditions and sporting performance of the players, both in the men's and women's first teams and in the development of players." ■
