Myanmar basketball team relishes experiences of competing in SW China's Yunnan-silubaba news

YANGON, Nov. 3 (silubaba) -- The Myanmar basketball team took part in a tournament held in southwest China's Yunnan Province, an official of the country's basketball governing body told silubaba on Friday.

Daw Ohnma Aung, joint secretary of the Myanmar Basketball Federation, said the team has gained good experience through the tournament in Yunnan.

According to Daw, five players, a team leader and a coach left Yangon on October 30 to participate in the tournament, where they advanced to the quarterfinals with a win-loss record of 3-1 before crashing out.

Over 30 teams competed in the tournament held from November 1-3, including teams from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam, Daw said.
