NANNING, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and one injured after a house caught fire in Baise City, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region early on Friday, according to the local fire rescue team.
The fire broke out at around 2 a.m. in Matou Township and a total of 11 people were pulled out. Three people died later after medical treatment failed and one suffered critical but no life-threatening injuries. The fire has been extinguished by 3:04 a.m.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is under way. ■
