Chad to take inspiration from Cote d’Ivoire to develop football federation

ABIDJAN, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- Chadian sports authorities expressed in Abidjan their desire to draw inspiration from Cote d'Ivoire to develop its football federation.

During a meeting Monday evening with Prime Minister of Cote d'Ivoire Robert Beugre Mambe, Chadian Minister of Youth and Sports Bravo Ouahidou requested the expertise of Cote d'Ivoire for the establishment of his country's Football Federation.

"This is an area in which we are experiencing some difficulties. Chad will resolve this problem with the experience of Cote d'Ivoire to establish a strong football body," declared Ouahidou.

The Cote d'Ivoire Football Federation is an association bringing together the football clubs of Cote d'Ivoire and organizing national competitions and international matches for the country's different selections.

It has already organized two Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON): one in 1984 and the second which is currently underway.
