Brazil, U.S. to meet in pre-Copa America friendly

WASHINGTON, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- The United States and Brazil will finalize their Copa America preparations with a June friendly in Orlando, Florida, the U.S. Soccer Federation said on Tuesday.

The match will be played at the Camping World Stadium on June 12, eight days before the continental tournament kicks off in Atlanta, Georgia.

"Getting the opportunity to play against Brazil is special," U.S. head coach Gregg Berhalter said.

"When you talk about wanting to challenge ourselves against the best teams in the world, you can't ask for much better than Brazil."

The United States will begin their Copa America campaign against Bolivia on June 23, while Brazil will meet the winner of the playoff between Costa Rica and Honduras in their tournament opener on June 24.

Five-time world champions Brazil have won 18 and lost just one of their 19 games against the United States.
