PARIS, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Kenya's Beatrice Chebet made a storming finish to win gold in the women's 5000m at the Paris Olympics on Monday.
The 24-year-old crossed the line in 14 minutes, 28.56 seconds, more than two seconds ahead of defending champion Sifan Hassan of the Netherlands, who claimed silver.
Italy's Nadia Battocletti took bronze in 14:31.64. ■
