Olympics | Morocco beat Egypt for men's football bronze

NANTES, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- Morocco took the men's football bronze medal at the Paris Olympics after routing Egypt 6-0 on Thursday.

Morocco displayed impressive attacking efficiency as they scored six goals from as many shots on goal throughout the match.

Morocco forward Soufiane Rahimi scored a brace and assisted twice, while his strike partner Abde Ezzalzouli contributed one goal and two assists.

Ezzalzouli opened the scoring in the 23rd minute before assisting Rahimi with a through-ball to put Morocco 2-0 ahead three minutes later.

Six minutes into the second half, Morocco went 3-0 up after midfielder Bial El Khannouss picked up a pass from Ezzalzouli, cut inside and fired home.

Rahimi hit in his second in the 64th minute, then assisted Akram Nakach to make it 5-0 nine minutes later.

Three minutes before the end, Achraf Hakimi scored a stunning goal from a direct free kick to cap Morocco's impressive performance.

In Saturday's final, Spain will take on hosts France.
