BEIJING, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks opened higher Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.02 percent to open at 2,877.94 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.09 percent higher at 8,377.95 points. ■
