WeChat Pay said on Wednesday that the process of adapting its payment functionalities to the Taobao platform is "underway" in response to a report that Taobao will fully support WeChat Pay on its platform.
WeChat Pay said in a statement to China Daily that it is committed to an open and collaborative ecosystem and has already cooperated with major payment platforms, including UnionPay, JD, and those of three major telecom operators.
WeChat Pay will continue to explore possibilities to enhance user convenience while maintaining the highest standards of transaction security, it added.
