The two sides of the Heishan Gorge Yellow River grand bridge were joined together on Thursday, laying a solid foundation for the bridge's completion within this year. The 1,539-meter-long grand bridge, with a span of 240 meters, is a major project of the highway linking Zhongwei of northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Mengjiawan of northwest China's Shaanxi Province.
