BANGKOK -- Gunfire continued to be heard along the Thailand-Cambodia border in the early hours of Sunday, the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand reported, citing Thai army sources.

The broadcaster later reported that at 6:40 am local time, Cambodian artillery shells hit a civilian house in Surin province. Heavy weaponry could still be heard sporadically as of 7:00 am local time.

Clashes in the border areas between Cambodia and Thailand began on Thursday, with both sides accusing each other of violating international law.
