Night tours at ancient sites light up Shanxi's summer season

Northern China's Shanxi Province is hailed as a treasure trove of ancient architecture, boasting over 400 historic structures – the highest number in the country. This summer, many heritage sites across Shanxi are staying open later to offer captivating nighttime experiences. In Shuozhou City, the iconic Yingxian Wooden Pagoda, a thousand-year-old architectural wonder, now welcomes visitors until 10 p.m. The site also hosts evening folk performances, offering an up-close encounter with vibrant traditional culture.
