A Western China New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor cross-border highway regular lorry successfully arrived in Hai Duong, Vietnam, from Chongqing on August 4, marking the official opening of its Chongqing-Hai Duong route service, according to the Chongqing Highway Logistics Base.

Covering about 1,500 kilometers, the lorry embarked on its journey after completing customs clearance at the Chongqing Nanpeng Highway Bonded Logistics Center in Southwest China's Chongqing. It exited through the Hekou Port on the China-Vietnam border in Yunnan province and entered Hai Duong province in North Vietnam under the Cross-Border Transport Facilitation Agreement, a pivotal initiative of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) cooperation program.
