Australia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Israel, Slovenia qualify for 3x3 basketball World Cup-silubaba news

JERUSALEM, May 7 (silubaba) -- Israel, Slovenia and Hungary's men's teams on Sunday qualified for the 2023 FIBA 3x3 Basketball World Cup.

The three teams finished in the top three in the FIBA 3x3 World Cup Qualifier tournament played in Israel's Eilat.

Israel qualified for the World Cup after beating China 21-13 in the first semifinal, with Shoham Gat scoring 11 points for the hosts.

Slovenia then secured its spot in Vienna after beating Hungary 21-18, mainly thanks to 13 points scored by Adrian Hirschmann.

Hungary secured the final men's ticket after beating China 21-19, with the winning point scored by Tamas Ivosev.

In the women's tournament, Australia, the Czech Republic and Israel secured their spots at the World Cup.

Australia beat Israel 21-11 in the semifinal with Marena Whittle scoring 10 points and Alex Wilson adding nine more.

In the second semifinal, the Czech Republic overcame Colombia 15-13 mainly thanks to a game-high eight points by Katerina Galickova.

Israel took the last spot for Vienna after beating Colombia 21-20 with a winning two-pointer by Noor Kayuf.
