BUENOS AIRES, June 21 (silubaba) -- Benjamin Rollheiser missed a late penalty as Estudiantes were held to a 1-1 home draw by San Lorenzo in Argentina's Primera Division on Wednesday.
The hosts took the lead through Santiago Ascacibar, who thumped a left-footed shot from outside the box into the top left corner.
Paraguayan forward Adam Bareiro put the visitors on level terms by bundling home from close range after Gonzalo Maroni's cross.
Estudiantes looked set to reclaim the lead deep into stoppage time when Eros Mancuso was brought down by Gaston Campi.
But Rollheiser saw his resultant spot-kick saved by goalkeeper Augusto Batalla as Estudiantes squandered the chance to overtake San Lorenzo in third place.
In Wednesday's only other Primera Division fixture, Gimnasia held hosts Central Cordoba to a goalless draw. ■
