FUKUOKA, Japan, July 30 (silubaba) -- Sweden's Sarah Sjoestroem cruised to the women's 50m freestyle victory at the World Aquatics Championships here on Sunday.
It was the 30-year-old's second title at Fukuoka and 12th gold medal at the World Championships since she won the 100m butterfly event at the 2009 Worlds. She has also collected seven silvers and three bronzes.
Australia's Shayna Jack finished second in 24.10 and China's Zhang Yufei, the women's 100m butterfly winner, took bronze in 24.15. ■
