BEIJING, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- Chinese authorities on Thursday issued a guideline to enhance the coordination of law enforcement and judicial work within the Yangtze River Basin.
The document, released by the Supreme People's Court (SPC), the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and various central government departments, aims to establish consistent law enforcement and judicial standards in critical domains such as pollution control, the fishing ban in the Yangtze River, and river sand mining management.
The guideline stated support for administrative law enforcement authorities to conduct joint operations across various administrative regions, ecologically sensitive areas, and high-risk areas for ecological and environmental violations within the basin.
It also proposed to intensify efforts in ecological restoration collaboration, seeking to collectively establish a center with integrated roles of ecological restoration, judicial work and publicity.
Furthermore, the SPC disclosed exemplary cases highlighting effective coordination in law enforcement and judicial activities within the basin. ■
