Barcelona goalkeeper Garcia sidelined for up to six weeks due to knee injury

MADRID, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- FC Barcelona has suffered two more injury setbacks with the confirmation that goalkeeper Joan Garcia and forward Raphinha will be out of action for a period of time.

Raphinha suffered a hamstring injury in Thursday's 3-1 win away to Oviedo and will be out of action for around three weeks, although he should be able to return following the next international break.

Garcia has had worse luck with the Barca website confirming he has suffered an injury to the meniscus ligament in his left knee and will be sidelined for "four to six weeks."

The injury means the former Espanyol goalkeeper will miss Sunday's La Liga game against Real Sociedad, and further league matches against Sevilla, Girona and Real Madrid. He will also possibly be sidelined against Elche the following weekend.

Garcia will also miss next week's UEFA Champions League clash at home to Paris Saint-Germain and against Club Brugge, with Wojciech Szczesny returning to action.
