BUENOS AIRES, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- A first-half goal from Alan Lescano gave Argentinos Juniors a 1-0 home victory over Union Santa Fe in Argentina's Primera Division on Sunday.
Lescano broke the deadlock in the 44th minute, angling a low first-time effort into the far corner after Diego Porcel's cross from the right flank.
The hosts controlled the match thereafter to ease to their first win of the campaign and rise to equal-seventh in Group A, level with Union on points and goal difference.
Earlier, Facundo Bruera scored two goals and set up another as Barracas Central cruised to a 3-1 home victory over Aldosivi.
Barracas leads Group A with nine points, ahead of second-placed Estudiantes by virtue of more goals scored. Aldosivi is last in the 15-team group with two points so far.
In Sunday's only other Primera Division fixture, Instituto Cordoba was held to a 1-1 home draw by Platense. ■
